Week 4 – Cameron

I’m not waiting until week 4 to make my week 4 donation and highlight a very important cause and event.

I have relatives involved in an event this weekend that is not only meaningful to them but impressive to me.

This is a golf event put on by a foundation to honor Cameron Carico, and promote awareness and provide assistance for mental health issues facing Central Iowa teens.

Cameron Carico was a special young man who touched everyone who knew him with his infectious smile.

He loved his family and friends and wanted to see them healthy and happy. Cameron desired to do whatever he could for those he cared about. He had a strong faith in God and reached out to others to share that joy with them.

Knowing Cameron’s love for golf and his natural desire to see others happy, his cousins have created an annual memorial golf tournament….with the proceeds going to Iowa Health Student Assistance Programs.

I spoke with one of the cousins, Tim, who I asked why this is called the “Cameron Carico +10 Foundation“…what’s the “+10“? He said that when something was awesome….a great play in a sport, a stellar performance, etc. Cameron called it a “+10”.

Cameron…here’s to your memory and a +10 to you. God bless.
