I do requests.
My friend Tim suggested that I should check out Table Grace Café…so I did.
Table Grace has a donation box instead of a cash register. People pay what they want, or not at all. The belief behind this concept is that everyone, regardless of economic status, deserves the chance to eat wonderful food while being treated with respect and dignity.
Table Grace is open from 11am to 2pm, Monday through Saturday. The menu is simple and the food is great. Gourmet pizza, salad and soup with different varieties prepared daily.
I had a lettuce and greens mix salad with balsamic vinegar dressing, herb roasted pork pizza topped off by a “chocolate-chocolate” cookie. The service was excellent.
I spent a few minutes visiting with Matt, the founder of Table Grace. He said that they serve about 40-50 people daily, from all walks of life. Table Grace is supported by many organizations throughout the community…churches, service clubs and corporations.
The mission of Table Grace is to foster a healthy community by offering great food prepared and served in a graceful manner to anyone who walks through the door.
On the day I visited Table Grace…mission accomplished!
